old like about Eid

Hi my name is Rayanne Zaim. I’m 12 years old. I’m a Syrian Lebanese Australian girl. What I like about Eid is when my family and I wake up very early and go to the mosque. I meet most of my friends and then we go pray to God. Then my family and I go to visit our relatives and friends. Another thing I like about Eid is when we meet up with our family friends and go to a restaurant and have lunch. Also before Eid we all go out to buy new clothes to wear for Eid. But my most favourite thing about Eid is when I go to my grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles and receive gifts and money. Anyway there’s much more I like about Eid but this is some or most of it.

Hi my name is Aysha Al Sibai. I’m a 12 year old Syrian Turkish Australian girl. What I like about Eid is when lots of my friends and family come over to eat with us and I enjoy their company when they’re over. I have lots of fun when they’re around.
I also like when we as a family go to the circus and have lots of fun. I sometimes see my friends there and we always go on rides together. The last and best thing I like about Eid is when I go to my cousins and I eat but also sleep over their house. I love when Eid comes because I have such a great time.

Hi my name is Sarah Tabikh. I’m a Lebanese Australian girl and I’m 14. What I like about Eid is when we get to buy new clothes, shoes and scarves. And when I go to the mosque and meet my friends. Then we go to visit my family and friends. My favourite thing about Eid is when I receive money from my grandparents, aunts, uncles, parents and brothers.

Hi my name is Sally El-Hassan, I’m 13 yrs old and I’m a Lebanese Australian teenage girl. What I like about Eid is when I go and visit my family and go to the houses of family and friends. And collect chocolate and lollies. I especially like going to my grandmothers’ house because she makes my favourite dish, stuffed vine leaves. The saddest thing about Eid is when we go to the graveyard to see my grandfather. I always cry because I miss him.

Hi my name is Marwa Chakik and I’m 14 years old. I’m an Egyptian Australian teenage girl. The thing I like about Eid is when we get to shop for new clothes and make sweets. On the day of Eid we wake up very early in the morning and go to the mosque to pray. There I go and meet all my friends and enjoy myself. Then we go to my cousins’ house and have breakfast. And then we go out to my family friends. I love Eid for many reasons. These are just a few.
